Who or What is Musicians Network?
Becoming a member of Musicians Network gives you free PLI as a member benefit, along with other benefits as detailed
Why is it so cheap?
Why are you doing this ? We recognised that many Musicians and Band owners both want and need Public Liability Insurance to work at an increasing amount of venues
As Musicians and Band Owners ourselves, we looked for a value for money policy which didn’t involve higher costs for things we didn’t feel we wanted
I can’t remember my login details
If you've forgotten your password, on the login page, there is a link just under the login box to reset your password.
DO check junk/ spam folders in case the email ends up there (you can’t check for junk on many mobile phones)
Do not ask us to change your password for you, it's self service and easy to do
I requested a password reset, but nothing came through
If the system reports the email address doesn’t exist, then you are trying to get the reminder using a different email address than you registered with us. Use the Online Chat button on the bottom right of your screen to ask us to change your email address.
Over 20 people per week request a reset, the system does work, but only if the email you gave us was valid and you still have access to it
Password reset link is not working
If you have requested more than one reset, you MUST use the most recent one, as the link changes each time you request one
The best way to ensure you are using the most recent is to pause for 3-4 minutes. Then request a new password reset and make a note of the time. Go to your emails and wait for a new email with that time on it, it should take no more than a couple on minutes for it to arrive, this link should then allow you to change your password
Can I pay with a credit or debit card?
Yes you can, we use Stripe which offers payment by card, this then automatically activates your membership and insurance.
This is very secure and we never see or have access to your card details and we do not auto renew each year
Can I pay over the phone?
Paypal will not charge you for using their service, it’s very secure and we do not see or keep any of your financial details
How long does my Membership/ policy last?
When do I get my policy documents?
Once you’ve paid, just come back to www.mobiledjnetwork.co.uk or photoboothmembership.co.uk login and click your Dashboard! We do not email or post your policy.
Your Dashboard is where all your Memberships and Listings are displayed to you, allowing you to edit, renew and manage them, as well as adding new listings or Memberships if you wish.
Can I get cover for one day?
Who is the underwriter of the PLI?
The broker is Sharrocks, the Underwriter is Pardus, the Insurer is Accelerant Insurance Europe SA
Is this proper Public Liability Insurance?
Does it cover my company/ business partner?
You will need one Membership/ Policy for each Musician or Band using his/her own equipment, although you can have the same contact details and logo’s across multiple Memberships/ Policies
I have a Limited Company am I still covered?
Do remember though that each Membership and Policy cover one named person, it does not cover a group of Musicians or Band Owners under a company name
Are there exclusions in the policy?
There are basically two, you can't use Pyrotechnics and you can't be the Organiser or Promoter of the event
Is there an Excess ? Yes, it’s £500
If another member makes a claim, am I affected?
When does the policy end?
Your Membership period is your insurance cover period. You are covered throughout the period for which you have paid
So as long as your Membership is paid up and current, you are covered by PLI.
We are here for the long term, so as long as you remain a member you will be covered
Can I get a refund if I don’t want it anymore?
Are my personal details safe with you?
Even before the recent introduction by the EU of the GDPR regulations, we were already safeguarding our Members by hiding personal details, such as your address and any payment details you use
Your Policy states your full name and your business name only
The listings websites we have, give you the opportunity to promote yourself by adding a description and pictures as well as social media links. Using this facility is your choice
If you ever need all your details removed from our database, then email admin@mobiledjnetwork.co.uk and we can delete you completely from our system. Beware however that this means you will no longer have PLI with us (even if you've downloaded a policy this will no longer be valid), as to be insured we need to keep your details within our database
What other Member Benefits are there?
Where do I get a link for my Website?
Many of our Members like to have a link on their website which shows their Membership of MobileMusicianNetwork or BandMembership, with a link to their PLI.
There are a couple of ways to do this, depending on your ability with editing your website.
Step 1 - Get the last 5 digits of your Musicians Network Number
If you've already downloaded your Policy, it's clearly written on there
If not, then just login and click the View PLI icon on your listing. The number is at the end of the address in the browser bar, and this matches the number on your Policy
Step 2 - Choose your style of logo and copy the code next to it
<a href="https://musicians-network.co.uk/details/pdf.php?id=INSERT YOUR 5 DIGIT CODE HERE">
<img border="0" alt="My Public Liability Insurance" src="https://musicians-network.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/PhotoBoothMembershipLogo-768x200.jpg" width="300" height="78">
</a>
<a href="https://musicians-network.co.uk/details/pdf.php?id=INSERT YOUR 5 DIGIT CODE HERE">
<img border="0" alt="My Public Liability Insurance" src="https://musicians-network.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/mdjn-logo.png" width="300" height="100">

<img border="0" alt="My Public Liability Insurance" src="https://musicians-network.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/PLISample.png" width="211" height="300">
</a>
Ste 3 - Edit the code to show YOUR PLI
Paste that code into your website on the page where you want it to show, then replace INSERT YOUR 5 DIGIT CODE HERE with the last 5 digits of YOUR Musicians Network Number. You should end up with https://musicians-network.co.uk/details/pdf.php?id=yournumber", anything else and it won't work!

This then means the logo will show on your website, and whenever a client clicks the logo, they will be taken to your PLI
Can I link to the Musicians Network Website and my PLI?

This then means the logo will show on your website, and whenever a client clicks the logo, they will be taken to your PLI
How do I link to my PLI or send a Venue my PLI?
There are a couple of options you could use:
1 - Login to our website, click on View PLI Here to open your PLI in the browser, then copy the whole link
You can then save this link on your computer, maybe in notes or a text file you can easily find. Then you just paste that into an email exactly as it is, producing a link for clients to click
2 - A Hyperlink
This is where you can make the link nicer, like this - View My PLI Here
You do this by adding this code (with YOUR 5 digit Musicians Network Number instead of mine) to an html email
<a href="https://musicians-network.co.uk/details/pdf.php?id=25486">View My PLI Here</a>
You can change 'View My PLI Here' for anything you like, it's just text, but do make sure it's got these either side > < as above
You could also use this code to embed your PLI into your email signature! I won't give instruction on this, as every email client handles these differently, so research your email client and how to create/ edit your signature, then just insert the above code
You could use one of the code samples below in your signature, then the logo will be there and clickable!
Choose your style of logo and copy the code next to it (make sure you insert the last 5 digits of YOUR Musicians Network Number)
<a href="https://musicians-network.co.uk/details/pdf.php?id=INSERT YOUR 5 DIGIT CODE HERE">
